Did Alderman Waguespeck squash this one?
Maybe the "Felony Franks" alderman squashed it cause he thought the name was Chick-Felony?
Chick-fil-A is looking to roost at State and Lake streets, according to a work order on the site that once housed Johnny Rockets and Halsted Street Deli, which have since closed.

Back in the mid 90s when I'd get to Atlanta quite a bit, I always though the chicken nuggets were fantastic. Maybe because the nuggets were that good or maybe because I was impressed that the chicken was actual wholemuscle meat, not fabricated or maybe because my taste buds liked that profile back then. Fast forward after nearly 13 years of never having Chick-Fil-A and my recent purchase of the nuggets and I wonder why I thought they were terrific.FoodSnob77 wrote: Anyone agree or sing their praises?
darn you, I adore chicken biscuits and was not aware that Chick-Fil-A had them, I'll try to forget.Ram4 wrote:I love those chicken biscuits!

Agree. You steal somebody's idea and then complain when they take offence ... and of course, you bask in all the attention that it brings.

I had one this morning, was quite good. I would have liked the biscuit a bit less dense but seeing as last night was a long one, the dense biscuit w/fried chicken goodness was just what the doctor ordered. Thankfully there isn't a convenient Chick Fil A close to where I live.Ram4 wrote:I love those chicken biscuits!
Elmhurst is about to get its cluck on.
Chick-fil-A, the popular Atlanta-based chicken sandwich chain, is opening on Route 83 on Feb. 6. It's the first of two suburban locations opening this month. Another will come on Feb. 13 at 7101 Kingery Highway in Willowbrook.
Chick-fil-A Inc.'s latest Chicago-area restaurant is opening March 27. The North Riverside location at 7201 W. Cermak Road is the third spot to start serving the Atlanta-based chain's famous breaded chicken sandwiches. Other local openings: A Deer Park location, which is looking to open in September, and a Schaumburg location, which Chick-fil-A plans to open in November.

Damn, was that one fine tasting milkshake, not just for a fast food joint, but for any kind of place. Took a trip to their website to find out that the ingredients list is a bit longer than their famously-short lemonade list. Nevertheless, their free sample just booked some future sales from me.

That's good to hear. Growing up in the northern suburbs, I was one of the many who eagerly anticipated Peacock's peach ice cream becoming available in the summer. For years, everyone I knew would count on peach ice cream, peach sundaes, and peach milkshakes at Peacock's. It was almost more a sign of summer than the weather. Since they've gone away, I haven't found a good substitute for that classic summer experience. Maybe I have now.

Perhaps you have found your substitute, but for a more old school/local resource, check out this old thread from way back when.
