For the last three years or so, we have made it a Mother's Day tradition, in part due to convenience and in part because of a decent MD offering.
Today ends that tradition. So many things to complain about (and I think this might be my first truly negative comment on LTH, I'm that torqued). I was too steamed to ask for a manager but I did send them an email, we'll see if we hear anything.
The food was fine, not quite the usual Mother's Day special set menu, whatever. But for $39.95, one sort of expects a main course dish that is called "king crab leg
s and shrimp" to include a portion of more than one crab leg. And in a shocking display of stinginess for an LEYE place, the advertised Mother's Day promotion - in which the website says "All mothers will also receive a gift on behalf of the restaurant" - we were offered exactly ONE such gift (a $25 coupon). Mrs. EdB60035 even asked our phoning-it-in waiter for another since we had two moms at the table, and he said he would get "yelled at" that there was only one per table. I'm sure the table of 19 across the way from us took that news pretty well too

Ugh. The 1 thing LEYE can usually be counted upon to deliver is great service, even if the quality isn't always stellar.
Had they never anticipated the obvious possibility that there'd be more than 1 mom at a table? I'm sort of shocked by the lack of foresight there and shame on them -- especially your lousy server -- for not making it right right on the spot. He sounds like a guy who knew his gratuity was already set via the number of diners at your table. At the very least, he should have summoned a manager on your behalf.
And yeah, last time I checked, crab leg
s is supposed to indicate more than 1.
All this said, I'll be shocked if they don't respond well and generously to your email. I'm guessing they'll do right by you, even though it should never have come to having to write an email.
