Naha is VERY good, but also pretty darn expensive.
    Leek

Hi everybody! Well, it was another good weekend of Zurer eating and I'm very grateful for all the great suggestions in this thread. Here's a synopsis of what we ate:

4 12-inch subs from Bari accompanied by incredible bari jarred red peppers with rosemary
    Foccaccia from D'Amatos
D'amato's bread with hand-toted new tuscan olive oil
    apple fritters from old-fashioned donuts.

Before the show on saturday, the zurers went to Resi's for a pre-theatrical drink (after dismissing cafe 28 as mobbed and horrifying). Potato pancakes were a hit but goulash and cheese plate left em flat.

Sunday dimsum at the Phoenix was a big hit, especially the seaweed wropped fried shrimp logs and the shrimp dumplings.

Then the big celebration? We ended up at Spacca Napoli after Kerensa's play at the Storefron Theater downtown. And the zurers were fairly pleased - although the pizzas were undercooked. The apps were superb, especially the prosciutto and mozzarella and the alici (white anchovies). It was I think a good choice, if not perfect - the pizza didn't quite stand up to Two Amy's in DC, but it was very good. And there was no fruit with the meat and no foam and it was informal.

All in all, a delicious weekend.
