Not that I would use it, but I'm pretty sure the strategy I mentioned above would work anywhere. There's really no reason to ever buy a groupon or those similar gimmicks. If groupon is offering some convoluted "10 dollars for 20 dollars worth of food" nonsense, just call the restaurant and ask them to give you 10 bucks off. Save everyone the hassle of the middleman. Again, I would not make such a call - but I'd sooner do that than buy one of those silly things.
