Based on the commentary here I went over to Desi's Grill (and Pizza) and purchased a Chicken Naan Roll.

As others have reported, it was quite good, and I will go back.

I got it to go. I must say, putting mayonnaise on it seemed kind of weird, especially since you get a nice cup of raitia sauce that you could put on it. But the bread was fluffy and rich and the chicken rich and well spiced. The taste left in your mouth was good and it lasted.

I look forward to going back for more of their food.

The place itself is charming in a ramshackle way, and the people were nice.

Been a while since I've gotten back here, not since my last post about it, but long indeed. Wife 1.0 is a little under the weather so "gentleman's choice" for NYE?...PAKISTANI DIVE FOOD. What else?? Normally, NYE is fancy sushi takeout, but I was in the Desi area today, and that pretty much just sealed the deal. I ordered it up and brought it home around noon, and didn't even pick at it once all day.

Chicken biryani lunch box with chili chicken, and chana masala. Loved it all. Chana Masala was not as spicy as I hoped, but it was plenty flavorful.

Chicken naan roll- still the bomb ass sammich it has always been.

Prices, however, have gone up, which is the reason for the post. Still a decent deal, but not a fantastic deal anymore. The food is easily worth it, but the prices were crazy cheap before. Not so crazy anymore. I think the price was around 12.50 all in for the lunch box and the roll. Back in the old days (tee hee) I could rock that for under 10. Still really decent food, and still a decent bargain.
We cannot be friends if you do not know the difference between Mayo and Miracle Whip.
