Mayo on a burger? ABSOLUTELY, and it's fantastic!
White, sugary glop on a burger? VILE! VILE! VILE!

If I told you my source, I'd have to kill you.![]()
I will say that, I work at Clark/Wacker. My source is within a 1-block radius of there. It is a public building. Having given off those clues, I bet you still wouldn't be able to find my source.

I'm bummed - that link doesn't work, and I can't get to foodservicedirect.com any other way. And here I was all ready to order a gross of Hellman's mayonnaise packets for stocking stuffers ... (and keep the other 56 for me!)
mrbarolo wrote:Obviously mayo is a resonant topic. The thread started with McD's, but the greater percentage, and much greater heat has been devoted to establishing categorical positions on mayo. Interesting.
Off topic observation, spurred by the curious intensity of the mayo postings: It seems to me that the Kuma's thread has garnered more postings, by a significant margin, than any other topic that isn't ongoing (e.g. openings and closings). I have to wonder what it is about even a justly celebrated burger joint that makes it so ripe for comment. Ultimately, just how much is there to say about it? It's not even controversial---most everyone loves it, so it's not the usual snake-biting-its-own-tail sort thing as with kids in restaurants, or city trans fat ordinances.

But you are dead wrong about this point. The perverse longevity of the Kuma's Corner thread was preordained from the first moment when I typed up the original post about my lonely, lonely breakfast four years ago, followed by a half-hour chant to Cthulu and generous splashes from a vial of tat ink to each of the Four Cardinal Winds. The Kuma's Corner thread could as well be about ceiling systems as about hamburgers and excessive waiting times, and would not even then perish in your pitiful lifespan (oh, absurd conception!), though the minds of thousands shall be swept screaming into its swirling depths as it pululates its mephitic brown vapor to suffocate the very souls of all good people, into the impenetrable paths and patterns of its web of ancient unspoken evil. Or at least that was my intent.
Yours,
Jim
