Sad to say that lunch here today was not great. We had the meatballs, 4 cheese pizza, short run, and calamari. Nothing was unpleasant, just bland and lifeless. The short run in particular was devoid of any flavor what so ever. Shame as it's a nice space and with good service and an interesting menu that just didn't deliver today, perhaps an off day but it left me wishing we'd stayed and eaten at Eataly.

We had a nice dinner there recently (everything was good, nothing knocked me on my keester) but one thing was extraordinary--how crowded they were! I don't mean that this was a problem for us because it wasn't. We were seated promptly for our reservation and service was very good in all respects. But the way that not just every table was occupied but every square inch in the restaurant was occupied made me flash immediately to the stateroom scene in A Night at the Opera.

This wouldn't necessarily strike me as worth noting in a hot new place that was the "flavor-of-the-month," but for a place that's been around as long as Quartino has, I found it remarkable.
