There's a location by me that's been home to three different Chinese/Asian buffet restaurants in five years. The last one closed a few months ago and was mercifully replaced by an urgent care facility.

Szechwan Kingdom in Northbrook does a good job with their lunch-time buffet and their regular menu is extensive.

I gave up on these buffets about 5+ years ago. Today I decided to give Szechwan Kingdom a try. All I got to say: if this is among the best, I'm giving up Chinese Buffets again.

I'm exaggerating a little, it wasn't awful. It was ok to below average. However, for $13, you could do better ordering off a menu of your favorite Chinese restaurant.
