ZKF in Wicker Park?

Has anyone been there? It's an offshoot of Zoom Kitchen located @ 1633 N. Milwaukee.

Yeah, I work right around the corner.

It's better than goddess and the grocer, which might be damning with faint praise...

It's fine. It has a small selection, but everything I've tried has been above average. The flank steak sandwich has not-nearly-enough rare flank steak and too much horseradish apple slaw, and at $9.25 it's about $2 too expensive, but it's still a decent sandwich.

It doesn't hold a candle to Milk and Honey or even Jerry's (which I'm somewhat underwhelmed by in general), which is opening up a second location a few doors down from M&H.

Thought I would add another data point to this discussion.

I've picked up salads from ZKF several times and have been pleased each time. I enjoy the fact that they use fresh roasted turkey breast instead of cubes of lunchmeat turkey a la Goddess and Grocer. Also, salads are not overdressed here which is nice. Yes, 9.50 is probably too much to pay for a Cobb Salad but it's pretty comparable in price with other neighborhood salad offerings and better in quality, IMO. It's a nice addition to the neighborhood for those nights where I just can't bear the thought of cooking and don't want pizza or some version of Asian food delivered. Not a destination if you live outside the 'hood but worth a visit on a lazy Wednesday night if you're within walking distance. Never looks that busy but it appears they do a somewhat brisk lunchtime delivery/takeout business.
