Christmas eve dinner

I know it might seem early to talk about this but my family of 5 (youngest is 16 years) is looking for a nice Christmas eve dinner. I think it might be important to make reservations soon, right? We all enjoy contemporary American- Custom House, May Street Market, Blackbird, etc. The brothers prefer to order a la carte rather than tasting menus. Friends recommend North Pond or mk. What would you suggest? Location is not a determining factor as Father willingly drives wherever for good food. Thanks!
