When I think of "Northwest Side", I think of more like where
Kow Kow is. I've never actually been, but being a David Lynch fan, I feel that I ought to go.
Your question does make me wonder if anyone has ever been to Wah Sun, which is on Lincoln right in there. It looks like a place that might a nice array of goofy drinks in funny glasses, but I've never been, even though I lived within a few blocks for almost two years.
Orange Garden is where I did go once or twice when I lived around there, and it may be the physically closest to the area you lay out. I believe they had a pretty good curry chicken.
Note that all of these are in the "ameri-chinese" vein (well, guessing about Wah Sun but it seems pretty obvious from the outside) and will have a menu rather different than the places sarcon recommended (both of which I would probably prefer to a standard ameri-chinese menu) Mei Shung is one of few places with a Taiwanese menu (in addition to a more standard menu), and Sun Wah specializes in roast duck and barbecue pork.
