On my way to TAC this afternoon, I walked by Bombay Grill, a new and (most) unusual addition to the Irving Park/Sheridan corridor. A quick glance at the chalkboard menu posted inside revealed a few curiosites, i.e., "Bombay beef," "Bombay steak," in addition to the usual assortment of Indo-Pak grill items, i.e., seekh kabob, chicken boti, etc.

Well, I'm totally sick of it by now, but the "crispy on choy" is still on offer. And, the "pork organ" is still there. And, the "tilapia mango." And, the "mango with sticky rice." And, the "grilled pork neck"...

    Have fun.

Saturday evening - the specials board didn't list mango with sticky rice or grilled pork neck. If I'd realized they were still on offer I'd have ordered them :(

Look, it's not my business to furnish the boards with accurrate-and-up-to-the-minute details on TAC's special offerings. And, even if it were, you've got the wrong thread. I do what I can as a simple courtesy, and my list above was what I saw listed last week.

I have no idea what these items could be, unless they are some sort of euphemism for a) indian -chinese food or b) water buffalo

Easy there bucko! I wasn't criticizing you. Your posting on Sunday the 29th stated what was "still on offer" and a posting above mentioned your visit to TAC the night before. I was there the night before, Saturday the 28th, and didn't see any of those things on the specials board except the crispy onchoy. I made the (incorrect) assumption after reading that these were secret specials, not listed on the board instead of the assumption that you were posting about things from the recent past, since your post didn't say it was last week when you read the specials board, not the night before, and was in reference to a guy who's coming NEXT week. I was expressing my disappointment that these things were there and I didn't know, not that you didn't keep me up to date.

I doubt it's either and not Thai even
A quick look for Bombay Beef suggests that it's something a cafeteria/catering menu would have. Thus a beef 'curry' not unlike (as far as naming goes) calling something Madras curry. That's not to say it wouldn't be good - just that the provenance may be less 'Indian' than the name suggests.
