Very few reviews on this place... Anyone been there for brunch? I was thinking either there or The Barn of Barrington, but I am thinking of doing the Barn for Father's Day.

If I go there, any advice for what to do afterwards? Any comments are helpful... Thanks!

If you can get in there by now (Friday), Seasons is a very nice place to dine for a 'light' Mother's Day brunch, although it is all-you-can-eat.

By 'light', I mean there are the obligatory breakfast items (eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, fresh fruit) but nothing too heavy, with other items such as vegetable salads, smoked salmon and I believe a small carving station. Nice dessert table, including great mini creme brulee.

Overall food quality is very good, and the dining room is beautiful. Seasons is owned by a Greek family that used to own Jasper's on Waukegan Rd in Glenview and now also owns Wildberry in Libertyville.

For something to do afterwards, right across the street are all the Long Grove shops. Not my cup o'tea, but to each his or her own.

Although The Barn of Barrington serves heavier fare, it's much darker inside, and truth be told that place is past its prime.

    I'd definitely choose Seasons.

While I agree that a few years ago the barn was past its time - but the place has really reved itself up. I have recently been there a couple times for dinner and it was really good - The winelist was huge and the presentations were creative. And the brunch is by far one of the best I have been to.
