We went there today for lunch. They have 5 locations.Went to the Harlem and Higgins location.I had the tamale dinner steamed in husk.It came with 4,good sized. With rice and beans.$4.95 before tax.Rice still had body to it the way I like. The beans were tasty but would have preferred some whole beans mixed in.

I've been known to hit the Irving Park (just west of California) location when in search of later night on-the-way-home chow. Nothing spectacular, but never bad, and reasonably priced. I used to enjoy parking in the lot of the adjacent combo KFC/Taco Bell and entering the TBK for my fix of take-out.

Interesting. There is also a location on Western (NW corner of Addison) that has a sign touting http://www.tacoburritoking.com which of course doesn't list that location - or the Irving one either.

I've been by the one across from the Harlem O'hare line, and it always looks empty. How good is the 13 1/2 inch super king burrito? Sounds great for $6.25. Im thinking about picking one up on Friday and have leftovers for the weekend. Is it worth getting off the train ?

This was our first visit.I liked my platter especially since my intro to tamales was at the now gone Mike's in Evanston.Mike's came wrapped in paper and were very small. The others I was with at Taco Burrito King had a quesadilla platter and a combo platter and we all were satisfied. Most people seemed to do take out.
