Trattoria Trullo used to be located next to the (now defunct) movie theater on Central Avenue in Evanston, more or less across from Dyche Stadium. My Italian-from-Milan neighbors used to prefer this place to any dining destination in Evanston, and my Italian-American neighbors of Barese extraction loved it, too. I recall some very good meals there, particularly fish specials and osso bucco. As I recall, the welcome was very friendly and the service brisk but attentive. My only complaint about the place was the high noise level. But My friends and I are anxious to try Trattoria Trullo in the new location.
Man : I can't understand how a poet like you can eat that stuff.
T. S. Eliot: Ah, but you're not a poet.
