    Hello everyone.

I am posing this question to any and all. I am looking for lunch suggestions in Jeff Pk area.

Criteria: Must be priced reasonable for fare offered. And must be good food- not the kind that gives you heartburn or worse later.

Looking for any type: your regulars like burgers, dogs etc.
Also any good ethnic type Mexican,Greek, Mideast and such.
Not really looking for formal type of place or "special occasion" place.

I am in this area and sometimes want something without having to make a trip out of lunch or am pressed for time.

Thanks for your responses and I'll check in at week's end.

    wally,

    Wally,

Off the top of my head, I have two suggestions for you. The first is for a slightly heavier meal of great Italian food. I'd recommend GNR Winner Sabatino's. Also, slightly north of Jefferson Park in Edgebrook is GNR Winner Elephant Thai. You can't go wrong with either one of those places.

My favorite Mexican restaurant is Las Cazuelas on Elston, a half-block north of Lawrence.

I fantasize about their mole. While their regular menu has a number of wonderful dishes, the daily specials are amazing.

I much prefer their food over Don Juan's in Edison Park.
