ended up there w/o knowing it was opening night a few wks ago and went back last wk as well. glad to say it was respectable as i live a blk away. service issues both times with overzealous busser's swarming, trying to take food away too soon and too often. irritating. but the food was very nice. for apps we had an excellent grilled italian sausage w/peppers and potatoes and supposedly porcini's (not) but very nice all the same. the kitchen just forgot to put them in. i'd chalk it up to working it out on the first nite and won't hold that against them. nice baby spinach salad w/lemon and almonds. lite and tasty. we also had the grilled calamari. split a few pastas as entree's. penne w/pesto genovese and goat cheese, bucatini w/smoked pancetta, tomatoes and fresh parm and a linguine ala frutti di mare. all were cooked perfectly al dente and all sauces were very good to excellent. desserts were unmemorable, i'd go to coco rouge next door instead. espresso was weak w/no crema, but all and all, food wise, a welcome addition to the hood. it's turned into a scene though so i'd recommend early or later.
