Not a solitary isolated table in the kitchen like Tru, but more a counter such as Roy's on State. I got some great recommendations to a query here earlier, thought I'd see if I could get some recommendations for some somewhat upscale Chicago restaurants (no diners thanks) with seating overlooking the kitchen. Post #4 - December 18th, 2007, 9:36 amIt's not all the way to upscale (as in Avec), but my daughter and I had a very nice dinner at South Water Market, and I think I noticed a counter there.
Also if you're out in the burbs I'm not sure but I think I may have seen one at Osteria di Tramonto in Wheeling..."If you reject the food, ignore the customs, fear the religion and avoid the people, you might better stay home."
