I've been ordering plain double cheesburgers from Mcdonalds for over 25 years. Way before they were on the Dollar Menu. And fortunatly since that time they have changed very little. Always delicious and nothing has come close as far as taste and overall value is concerned...Until now-

I strongly encourage everyone to try the new Wendy's Double Stacker from their Dollar Menu. You may never go back to Mcdonalds again. I mean it's good. I think I got a new favorite burger.

I have had about 15 from 3 different locations and the consistancy was there everytime.

I've seen the aforementioned burger on TV, and I've been eager to try one out. It looks like the Baconator's bastard step-child!

this reminds me of a thread in the chains board of chowhound about the beauty of the mcdonalds double cheeseburger. i will say that after living in Israel for about 3 months a dbl cheeseburger was my first meal back in the states. McDonalds never tasted so good.

    hilarious..

I loved the quote about never wanting to return to McD's again, I was at that point already, no thanks to Wendy's, but to my stomach & good taste.

    Meh.
I've always appreciated double cheeseburgers at fast food for their superior meat-to-bun ratios, but I'm not fond of McD's or Wendy's -- the former is a single mushy texture top-to-bottom, and Wendy's always seems to have this flavor of overcooked meat -- yes they're all well done, but it's something about Wendy's that just tastes overcooked.

Burger King, for all their microwaved cheese and 3-hour-burps of eau-d'Flame Broil, has always been my double cheese of choice.

But that's probably because I've never had an In-And-Out Burger.

It's almost unfair to put In-N-Out in the same group as all the other fast food places.

Nothing will replace my childhood Favorite at Cock Robins in arlington Heights. Served with a Silver Star Soda, followed by a triple sherbert cone..But they closed years ago unfortunatly.
