I walk by this place all the time and I've stopped in now 3 times in as many years. I don't know why I don't go more often. Each time, the Greek chicken has been crisp, moist and lemony. Think Grecian Semiramis. The Greek salad is one of the best I've ever had. Light and clean and better than you'd ever expect.

Mama oversees the kitchen and there's no doubt that it's her food being served. There's a decent assortment of other Greek staples, which I imagine to be as good as what I've sampled, but I can't bring myself to order anything else. I need to go back with the proper ordering power to see how the rest is.

I've been told that it doesn't exist unless its' been posted about so I'm changing that now. A bit of the back story is that the son of owners had more ambitious plans for this little diner than his folks ever did. They went back and forth and weren't budging. After returning from a vacation, they found that he had made the changes in their absence. I don't know what it was prior to that, but they relented and supported it from that point forward.

I'd suggest supporting it as well.

Here is one older thread on Greek Corner:

I stopped in tonight and was delighted to see two tables full of cops, two civilian couples, and the owners, silently eating gyros in rapt attention to the Democartic presidential debate. I felt a member of the polis. Very Athenian.

The gyros and tsatsiki were excellent as always, and I really appreciate the fresh salad that comes with them on the gyros platter (as mentioned by tyrus in the other thread, almost too much food) - crumbly feta with fresh cracked pepper, kalamata olives, thinly sliced onion, dressed in good olive oil, lemon, and vinegar.

On the sucky side of the equation, very poor, mealy, going-rancid french fries (oh, for a fresh oven-roasted Greek potato), and the blandest avgolemono I've ever tasted, though to its credit, it is only $1.85 for a large bowl. In general, the prices are very good here. And real Orange Crush on tap makes my night.
