I have been trying to find a good place for smoothies, and have had little success. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately the best smoothie i know is not open to the public. Lakeshore athletic club in Lincoln Park has the BEST smoothie I have encountered to date. They use fresh banana, blueberries and strawberry with protein optional, for some reason the protein is what makes it so good. It came to the point where I couldnt find a decent option other than LAC, so I just started making my own.

    Jubilee Juice, 140 N. Halsted
not quite smoothies but what about Joy Yee's fruit freezes?

I've read good things about Doc's Juice & Smoothies in Bucktown but haven't checked it out yet.

Like the ^ poster I make them at home because it's a fraction of the cost of buying them at a store and they taste better because you can control the ingredients.

Beef, maybe you can ask them what brand protein they use? So many of them are chalky. I get a soy one from Whole Foods that has no sugar added, vanilla flavor, and it's pretty good. I like to use yogurt, this protein powder, and then some combo of fruits. Apple Blueberry cinnamon is very good.

Try the smoothies at Doc's juices and Smoothies on Armitage right by Western (2200 block). I had a mango banana smoothie that was out of this world. They are pricey (average is about $6).
