Whoa! Just received a 50-buck gift certificate from Le Francais, for doing nothing more than attending now-erstwhile chef de cuisine Michael Lachowicz' great, fun, free (!) demo at Foodstuffs in October - where he served us lavish portions of a delectable duck confit/foie gras strudel, and provided the recipe. What a cool thing to find in the mailbox at the end of a dark, drizzly November day. Best deal ever. I'm frankly stunned and impressed that Michael Moran made good on the gift, considering the sudden, passionate explosion in the back of the house.

Thing is that it's only good through the end of the year; is Roland Liccioni in the kitchen yet? I would love to go for lunch solo and spend the whole thing on myself, eating, drinking, reflecting, and taking notes to share, but I need advice. If you were me, an eater of everything excepting sweetbreads, what would you choose for this surprise fantasy lunch? Think about 70 bucks total. All input will be cheerfully welcomed!
