What about Mizu Yakitori & Sushi? (and Hello)

I'm a big admirer of this forum - and now I'm finally going to post here, because I have a burning question: Is Mizu any good? I'd love to find a great Japanese yakitori place here in Chicago (I had great yakitori in Japan and Los Angeles, and it's a favorite of mine). Another place I've read about is Ringo (for kushiyaki). You see, though I like sushi just fine, I really love the the other stuff - the grilled or fried noshed that go down so well with sake. Any thoughts? Or recommend any other place for non-sushi Japanese? Should be upscale with nice atmosphere - I'm planning a birthday dinner.
