Need menu suggestions at Spoon Thai

Hi,

I've been reading about Spoon Thai for a while and have just managed to persuade two friends to go with me tonight--my first visit. I love Thai food and would like to sample stuff from the "secret Thai" menu, but
don't know how many dishes to order, or which are the groups' favorites? Could someone possibly help me out with suggestions for a menu for three people?

You can find the translated menu under "Translated Menus" in the site's reference section. A search for "Spoon Thai" should provide virtually hundreds of posts describing dishes, and meals often accompanied by gorgeous photos.

This thread has a lot of good specific menu recommendations.

Here's my standard order, I'll often add to this but this is the baseline (assuming I have a crowd for this much, surely at least 4 people's worth):

Isaan sausage
Thai fried chicken (kai thâwt)
Banana blossom salad
nãem khâo thâwt
Pla kung (spicy shrimp)
Sticky rice

For two people, I'd at least say be sure to get the banana blossom salad and nãem khâo thâwt, both very accessible and mind-opening, and then maybe a curry or something.

Let me add the catfish custard (steamed in banana leaf) to the list, not a dish you'll find everywhere.

Desiring a lighter desert on a hot night last time I was there, I ordered the coconut ice cream rather than the sticky rice. Disappointing. Ok, just nothing special.

I can't go there without ordering the one-bite salad!
