http://www.chuckscafe.com/Menus/Breakfa ... fault.aspxFor those unaware, Chuck has updated the breakfast menu. I went in this Saturday morning and was extremely excited about the new original choices on the menu. I used to go to Butterfields one hour away but Chuck just made me forget about ever going there again. I had Chuck's Machacado which is like a scramble; it had fresh bright green sliced jalapenos that had quite a kick, diced fresh tomatoes and onions, and a little bit of smoked beef brisket added to the mix. Served with sides of tomato-chipotle rice, refried black beans and tortillas. Also ordered the Louisiana Sweet Potato Pancakes complimented by a Cafe De Olla. I almost brought my camera with but hesitated at the last second. Both dishes arrived very pretty, it was all nicely done, FRESH and DELICIOUS.
On a side note, I talked to Chuck this morning and the Mardi Gras tickets are to be $50 a seat, so $500 per table this year on a Saturday and Sunday. I'll be taking a pass on a table this year due to "economic stress".
