Sleeping is one of my favorite past times, maybe a little behind eating...and with that being said, I would rather sleep another 10 minutes in the morning (Monday thru Friday), then get my butt up and make myself breakfast at home. So, I am usually stuck grabbing something quickly for breakfast, either Oatmeal at Jamba Juice lately, a piece of coffee cake from Starbucks, a donut from Dunkin.......so to keep from getting bored with my limited selections, I was wondering where everyone else goes if they are going to grab a quick breakfast on the way to work?

I often meet colleagues at Ada's Deli because the service is usually fast, menu variety is wide and the atmosphere is conversation friendly. The food is pretty typical diner fare - nothing fancy but generally good enough.

As long as you're willing to adjust your mind regarding what a bagel is supposed to be, the square shaped ones at Cosi are good, and always hot out of the oven before 8:30AM.

It's been a few years, but back when I was in the Loop every morning, a bagel with cream cheese and a cup of coffee from Shalom Deli on Wells always hit the spot, plus the folks behind the counter were always great to me.
