Anyone know of any good early bird specials either in the city or north/NW Burbs. Last one we went to was Demitri's in Deerfield.

I was just at Crofton on Wells yesterday. There was a sign posted that starting on March 3 they were going to offer a 3-course menu for $35 between 5pm and 6pm during the week. I think the food is worth that, but not what they charge for it normally.

Custom House offers a 3 course, pre-theatre menu for $46 if you go at 5.00pm or 5.30pm. I don't know how special that is, though. On the menu posted online, entrees go for around $30 and first courses for around $10. So maybe you save a few dollars on dessert?

I'm sure that other nearby restaurants have theater specials too, but I don't know the details.
