    Whats up LTH,

I need y'all help if you can lead me to a good spot for a mothers day brunch within the city. All suggestions on where to get a real deal brunch are much appreciated. There are a few veggies in the group so even better if you know of one that works well for vegetarians. Thanks a bunch. Titus.

What sort of price range/atmosphere did you have in mind?

Price isn't really a thing. All ranges of suggestions are much appreciated.

What a good son you are! All my mom's getting is a phone call :P

I recalled seeing a bunch of brunch-related threads a couple months ago, and have linked them here:

"Best" Brunch places in the city
Sunday Brunch - Four Season/Ritz/Sig Room?
    Sunday brunch/lunch in River North?

I can personally attest to the brunch at NoMI...while pricey, I thought the quality, atmosphere, variety & service were all top notch. The food spread was excellent, and while I've heard they're paring back on the size of the buffet for economic reasons, they did say they'll continue to offer the full, no-holds-barred spread for special occasions. So I'd imagine that they'll pull out all the stops for Mothers Day. They managed to hit the sweet spot between white-tablecloth-swanky and relaxed-leisurely-Sunday-brunch, which I really enjoyed. The view & sunlight from that giant overhanging window is nice too.

I've been to lunch at Carmine's once...it wasn't bad. Both the food spread and the seating were outdoors in the little covered courtyard between Carmine's and Tavern on Rush. The food was decent, the service was friendly, and it was about half the price as NoMI. But it definitely wasn't a write-home-about-it experience.

    Mother's Day is a zoo.

We did RJ Grunts - not a brunch per se, but good food, not as crazy and the salad bar is great for veggies. They take reservations, but you have to call.
