We're going on Mother's Day. Anyone ever been to this Chinese buffet? I can't use advice like, "If you're out that way, you really ought to be going to [X], instead," because I'm not driving this particular bus. I can use advice like, "Stay away from the [clams], but make sure you load up on the [crab legs]"--or whatever. Just thought I'd put the question out there in case anyone has something to share. Thanks.

just went their on Monday when I had to go to Home Depot for some more lump, and other items for MIM. not bad, Dinner I think is $9 per adult. We go there probably every couple of months for "Gringo Chinese".

Typical buffet items, General Tsao's, Korean chicken, fried rice, fried shrimp, a couple of soups, noodles, crab rangoons, mongolian bbq station, "sushi", crab legs, etc.

Not a bad buffet for the $$. it is what it is.

THey boil their crab legs(and boil all the flavor out) vs the preferred method of steaming crab legs. I just dip them in the leftover sauces from the other items on my plate, and all is good.

Thanks, Jim. That's remarkably more encouraging than I was expecting! :)

We rarely go on the weekends, but the crab legs are only served at dinner on weeknights, I dont know if they offer them for lunch and dinner on weekends, or on a special day like Mothers Day.

hope it works out for you.

Thanks, jim. It did, reasonably well anyway. In general I found, counter to my hopes and the amount of real estate it took on my plate, that anything fried was pretty much not worth eating. Anything fried tasted like anything else they had that was fried; the fried scallop was indistinguishable from the fried shrimp, etc. Mainly because the only flavor was in the fried and breaded crust--whatever was inside could have been anything, because it tasted like nothing. On the bright side, however, dishes that fell into the category of "meat and vegetables in sauce" were fairly tasty. I also liked, quite a bit, the hot and sour soup. I'd say this soup was the one thing that exceeded my expectations. It did taste hot, and was not too starchy. The crab legs were very "picked over" when I went for my first main trip to the buffet, so I didn't have any, and when word came back to the table that they'd been replenished, I didn't have a strong enough appetite to get up and try them. By that time I felt (and remembering what you'd said) that they weren't going to be worth it, anyway. In any event, we had a pleasant time.
