About 6 IT guys will be working this evening on a project in Villa Park. I'd like to feed them well. Is there a good pizza/sandwich/pasta delivery option in that area, or maybe a good carry-out option? Other delivery choices (i.e. mexican) would be welcomed as well. I can leave to go pick up the food, but the whole group certainly couldn't leave to go to a traditional restaurant.

    Thanks in advance.

Gulliver's just opened a restaurant in Villa Park (although it technically might be Oakbrook Terrace) on Roosevelt Rd. There is a decent Aurelio's takeout in VP too.

Tong's Tiki Hut does good chinese, also on Roosevelt.

There Strat's on North Ave, which is a Portillo's clone.
Also on north is Garibaldi's which does decent ny style pizza and has pretty good philly cheesesteaks.

Tierra Grill (mexican) on St. Charles Road is very good, although I have never taken away, just ate in.

I guess it depends on where in VP you are going to be. It stretches from North Ave all the way south to Roosevelt. Going all the way from one end to the other is no picnic.

Roberto's in Elmhurst delivers to Villa Park (I grew up in VP) and they're Italian and pizza. I used to order sausage and jalapeno pizzas from them with friends back in high school.

I've never had carry-out from Tierra either but second that it is very good. We used to get carry out from Tong's all the time too, definitely significantly better than your average take-out Chinese.

Grab a beer at Lunar when you're done with the project.

If Indian is an option for you (you'd prolly have to ask the folks, 1st,) just west, of Myers on Roosevelt is this joint. Perfect for takeout (read: it's a DIVE.) If this interests you:

    1. Ask several times what the specials are.
    2. If you want raita, check your bag before you leave. For some reason, they always forget it. I mean ALWAYS. Do not ask them if the raita is in the bag - they will always say yes. CHECK the bag for the raita.
We cannot be friends if you do not know the difference between Mayo and Miracle Whip.
