I used to frequent this place years ago and thought they had the best Sicilian style pan in the city - it had a funny name - spingoni perhaps. Does anyone still eat pizza from this place? Is it open? I have a hankering for one topped with prosciutto. To say the area has changed is an understatement. I'm wondering if it's worth the hour it will take to find parking. Thanks in advance.

Don't know if you tried a search yet, but here are three somewhat short posts about it:

It's in our pizza delivery rotation. Not bad, not great. My wife likes it.

There is a 15 minute parking with flasher spot just around the corner which I've used for picking up a pie.

When you cut it, mama, save me a slice"

Their carbonara is good in a trashy and gross sort of way.

I like the pizza, but you have to eat it there. It has a Marie's-esque half-life.

@DM - Do you get the pan pizza that I was referring to?

I lived around the corner for seven years and never once had the pan pizza. I always opted for slices which I liked better than their whole pies.

Its a good neighborhood joint. It wouldn't say its worth going our of the way for.

Does anyone here have a go to place for the Sicilian style pan pizza? Thicker that D'Amato's pizza, closer - in fact - to focaccia.

They have a ranch that is homemade and full of dill. My friends and I like ordering the pizza just for the "danch."
