Life on Mars - Vegan Takeout in Logan Square

This place opened up a few weeks back, and I just got around to stopping by today on the way home from work. Their menu is basically made up of vegan sides, salads, spreads, sandwiches, and baked goods. I did not make a large order today. I just got a small order of their spinach coconut greens. While I initially thought the price may have been a tad steep for what you got (almost $4 for what I felt was a rather small portion), I thought the greens were really excellent. I'm not a vegetarian or a vegan and don't typically go out of my way for such food, but I would go back for these again. I'm looking forward to trying other things on their menu (which I believe changes fairly regularly).

Wife and I finally made it over to Life on Mars for dinner this eve.

Went with the small (8oz) portions of Coconut Spinach Greens, Super Yams, Green Curry, BBQ Black Eyed Peas, and Mac N Cheese. Total was about $22. Greens, Curry and Black Eyed Peas were fantastic, Mac N Cheese was good, and Yams were okay, just a tad bland.

I would go back tomorrow for more Black Eyed Peas/Greens/Curry though, each packed an amazing amount of flavor.

Glad this place is in our neighborhood, look forward to going back soon!
