Post #1 - February 20th, 2010, 9:53 amAnyone been to El Asadero in Melrose Park (not the same as the taco place on Montrose)? They specialize in grilled chicken (marinated and butterflied) , but also do a great job with skirt steaks, et. all. The chicken is phenomenal- perfectly seasoned, slightly smoky, incredibly juicy with a crispy skin and their homemade corn tortillas may be the best I've had in Chicago.
The chicken platter with rice, beans salad and tortillas is only $5.99! Simple decor, table service, super clean and even though they're usually very busy (the locals love it!) they turn the tables pretty quickly.
