Bruno's Beef/Berwyn

I could not find the specific mention of Bruno's in past LTH postimgs. But those mentions put Bruno's on my list of beefs to try if ever in the neighborhood. I was in that Berwyn neighborhood at noon today and decided to look up Bruno's. It is a block west of Oak Park on Windsor, opposite the Metra station. It is a small. neat place with a very limited menu-beef, sausage, pizza, fresh cut fries and maybe a salad or such. The beef was a winner. Tender, thinly sliced beef in a great gravy on a fresh 6" piece of bread, all for 4.25. The gravy was nicely spiced, with a slight peppery overtone that lifted it way above most one dimensional gravies.This was a big, filling sandwich. The great fresh cut fries and a soft drink brought the total to around 7.00. I can't remember who originally posted about Bruno's. But whover it was--thanks. This place now joins my regular beef rotation.

I think I have an idea why you couldn't find them.

Finding them wasn't the problem. Getting the name straight would seem to be my great offense of the day.
