We've never been to Green Dolphin Street. We like jazz, just never made it there. Now I find out they're no longer a jazz venue and no longer serve food. Missed that in the "comings & goings" thread.
Anyway, have tickets to a show there this Friday at 9pm and are looking to grab a bite beforehand. It's a work night, so by the time we get home, walk the dog, change, and battle the cross-town traffic/parking, I can't imagine we'll be ready to eat before 7:30. Don't think we'll have time to enjoy Sweets & Savories. It's been a long while since I've spent much time in this part of town. Any suggestions for a good and relatively quick meal in the general vicinity? Open to any cuisine...

    Thanks,
    Lynn

There are a number of spots around Webster & Clybourn: Webster Wine Bar, Pequods & Macku are all in the general vicinity and a short hop down the street to Webster and Ashland (Green Dolphin). Macku would almost definitely require reservations to ensure getting in and out quickly at that hour. I'm not sure it would be any quicker than Sweets & Savories but the Bristol is a just down the street going west (Damen and Webster).
