    Hi everyone

Long-time lurker, seldom poster. (Have not been living in Chicago for a number of years, but I'm back now.) So while I was abroad, I got very into Malaysian food, helped mainly because down the street from my apartment was one of London's best Malaysians. I probably wan't very adventurous, but my two stand-by dishes to order were Kerabu Salad and Char Kway Teow. Seriously love Char Kway Teow.

Besides for Penang in Chinatown, is there anywhere more on the north side that does good Malaysian? Have done a cursory survey and it doesn't seem that way but I thought if anyone would know, you guys would.

    Thanks in advance,
    Krista

Chicago is pretty short on Malaysian food, but you might start by taking a look at this thread which discusses Malaysian food in Chicago. You may also want to take a peek at this thread, which details how to use the search function on LTH if you would like to do a bit more digging, there is a lot of great information to be found on this site!

Welcome back to Chicago and welcome, also, to LTH. :)
