I was reading the
"You know you're an LTHer when..." thread, when I saw mention of a grilled cheese sandwich. I was immediately transported to the memory of the best grilled cheese sandwich I've ever had. After I stopped reveling in the memory, I thought, "What have folks said in the Rewster thread?" I was more than a little surprised to find out that neither the forum search nor Google could find any mention of Rewster's on LTHForum.
Rewster's Grilled Cheese is pave d'affinois & honey butter on brioche. Hungry, I asked for some ham on it. The waitress was happy to oblige.
That was three weeks ago today. Words cannot say enough good things about it. The hot chocolate I had was also notable. My recollection is that the kitchen was a bit slow, but ... it was worth waiting for. As I waited on the grilled cheese, I munched on a very ordinary croissant (plain, they were, iirc, out of chocolate).
