If you're a sucker for homemade chocolates, I recommend Beijo de Chocolat for some truly decadent candies. I couldn't decide, so I ordered one of everything in the case, and out of about 2 dozen chocolates, I think there was one dud. They were beautifully decorated, shiny with that characteristic snap, filled with really loud flavors (lemon soufflé was a standout). The dud I mentioned was the peanut butter cup, a bite-size, dark chocolate answer to the Reese's Cup, which had too little filling. But the chocolate was wonderful.

I also ordered a little chocolate shortbread cup with ganache (tasty, but I forget the name) and a millionaire bar. This is a shortbread bar with peanut butter and chocolate. The shortbread was a delectable, buttery cookie, but there was something off about the peanut butter. Not bad, but weird, and oddly pale.

I will have to return for some of the tiny cakes they feature in the front-facing case. They appear to be about 4-6" around, not too high, and perfect for people like me who want a birthday cake but not a 4-layer, 10" thing that lasts all week. They also sell coffee, tea, muffins, crepes, and sundaes. You can eat in the shop, but it's tiny.

    I think the address is
    3334 W. Foster.

It would make a nice one-two punch with GNR Tre Kronor about a block east of there, although the hours (per their website) don't seem to work except for lunch or an early weeknight dinner in the summer.
