Whopper meal Medium, no cheese, only lettuce, mustard, tomato and onion...a so-called Depression burger(actually, that's meat mustard pickles onion on a bun) if you's will (Sonic offers something almost there)

drinks with a view @ The Holiday Inn downtown awaiting our friend Anj just in from HK, we'd already checked in to our digs at Public Chicago just a couple blocks from our former residence.

On over to Randolph where we paused for drinks at Au Cheval prior to our res. Girl And The Goat(I keep typing a superfluous "the" when typing girl and the goat like many speak you's when meaning y'all)

Au Cheval: me, Horse's Neck, him, Vieux Bonal, herself, chard

wood oven-roasted pigface with sunnyside-up egg on the side (Anj and eggs are at war)

drinks at a bar that reminded me of Desmonds in Midtown, Manhattan

drinks and desserts at Mercat ala Planxa with nextdoor neighbor in town for Dental Convention-

St. George Absinthe service(me), mixed drinks everyone else, me-Caol Illa, Anj, Caol Illa
