Got a takeout last night and it was the first time we had tried it. I was suprised after only ordering an appetiser and 2 entreees i was handed 2 big bags of food. Another suprise when i opened the boxes and found all the food was presented really nicely. The falafel plate appetiser came on a bed of letttuce and parsley and was sprinkled with some pickled turnips. It also came with a side of hummus and baba ganosh(not stated on the menu) that had both been sprinkled with nice chopped tomatoes and olives. We both thought although not the best flalafel we had ever had they were really tasty, hummus was nice but really enjoyed the smoky baba ganosh. We ordered the 3 way combo entree-which is lamb cubes, chicken cubes and kufta, and the beef and chicken shawarma plate. Again both entrees came with hummus and baba ganosh, and a separately well made salad for each entree. It wasn't your typical salad of lettuce with a piece of flavourless tomato but two separate containers with cucumber, tomato lettuce, parsley and green olives that had been dressed with oil and vinegar. We enjoyed all the meats, especially the kofta and lamb and found them all to be juicy and well seasoned. I particularly enjoyed the rice wich was nice and fluffy, strides above the rice at pita inn. We also enjoyed the tahini sauce which was nice and lemony. Pita bread was standard. This is a nice addition to the Jeff Park neighbourhood and i'm looking forward to eating my leftovers today.
