The only post on Scooter's was in a ‘Mother In Law’ thread. First time here, but a good experience. Two hot dog special with a basket of very good, crispy hand cut fries. Having grown up on Jimmy’s and Gene and Jude’s, not opposed to their style of hand cut fries, but prefer crispy. Natural casing Vienna’s.

This is close to where I live, and I'm up for testing it out soon--though I don't know how I'll decide between a Vienna beef hot dog, a Polish sausage, and an Italian beef sandwich. AGH! Guess I'll have to conduct multiple data collection visits.

Seems to have been there many years now, but I haven't tried it. How does it compare to Superdawg?

I've been a few times. Solid but not earth-shattering.
Fries are excellent, shakes very good. Polish, Italian Beef and Cheeseburger have been respectable. Haven't tried the dog because of lack of neon relish.

I live in the area and have been a few times over the years. I've only had dogs and fries and can report that the fries are solid, the dogs never seem to satisfy. In fact, for a dog crave in the area I prefer Luke's around the corner. Generally more care in the assembly of the dogs and better attention to the proper proportion of the various ingredients.

I have only eaten once at Scooter's and Luke's, and at Luke's had a beef (edible, but not much more). Since the dogs from Scooter's were natural casing and good, (not the best I have ever had, but not close to being bad), I don't see how the assembly of the dogs could overcome those frozen fries at Luke's. Not worth wasting calories on those mediocre Sysco fries...

I had Scooter's a long time ago, wasn't impressed from what I remember. I finally checked out Luke's a few times in the last 6 months, had the beef a few times. It was good, if a little dry, but it may be the best beef in the area which is hard to believe, so it is what it is. Luke's hot dog was a skinless Vienna, which is an automatic fail for me. Fries were frozen, but a huge order. I love most fries, even if frozen, so they didn't bother me. Owner is a nice guy.
