Lobster

I have just (deliciously) lost a bet which requires a payment of a lobster lunch. (Deliciously, because I'll be having lobster, too.) First idea that pops to mind is The Palm, but I can think of Shaw's and Gibson's as two alternatives off the top of my head. There was a time I'd have been sure that the gold standard for a steamed Maine lobster was The Palm, but that may no longer be the case. (Then again it may.) Thought I'd inquire what your favorites are in this category, in the Loop/Mich. Ave./River Northish area.

No help here, but what can we bet on that will ensure me a lobster lunch as well??

My first choice would be the ginger scallion lobster at Sun Wah.

Perhaps the Cape Cod room at the Drake?

I've never been smitten with the elaborate preps at Cape Cod Room but the simpler preparations have been excellent (i.e. steamed lobster, dover sole)

Intriguing thought, Sweet Willie! It's been thirty years since I've been to the Cape Cod Room. It never would have occurred to me to go there now. But now that you've mentioned it, I'll definitely keep it in the mix.
