This evening I was on Lawrence & unfortunately Nhu Lan was closed as I had a taste for a banh mi.

I spied the verbiage banh mi on the door to 2 Asian Brothers restaurant.

I think the only place on LTH where 2 Brothers is mentioned prior is in this post from openings/closings: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=33696&start=300&sp=407895

I had the BBQ pork banh mi. Judging by the sandwich I received I think this shop is geared towards the nearby college crowd. Heavy on the meat, light on veggies (not really pickled much) and not on a crusty/chewy baguette like Nhu Lan.

I still enjoyed my sandwich but it didn't have the pop that Nhu Lan sandwiches or even Ba Le have.

I did absolutely nothing and it was everything I thought it could be.

I've been there twice, both times out of pure convenience and hunger, and while I find the food to be passable, I completely agree with you that it's geared towards the nearby college crowd and that it's not at all a true competitor to any of the better banh mi shops around.
