Deli Roast Beef Sandwich on the North Side

Like the topic says, I'm looking for a good deli style roast beef sandwich on the North Side, Lincoln Park/Lakeview area preferred.

Most deli's I've found are just serving Boar's Head roast beef. I want some good homemade roast beef, similar to Al's Deli in Evanston. There is Sal's Deli on Webster & Sheffield that used to make their own roast beef, but I was told they are doing Boar's Head now too.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

If you can make it a little farther north (Clark near Touhy) then go to deli Mecca - Romanian Kosher Sausage. They make their own roast beef, corned beef and pastrami (not to mention the best Kosher salami on the planet. And kosher dogs. And polish sausage. And iitalian sausage).

A little out of your way but, Moon's Sandwich Shop has a roast beef sandwich special only on Friday.

IMHO is also the best deal in town - As I recall their roast beef sandwich is less than $7 for a hefty sandwich on bread from Tel Aviv kosher bakery - but you can have any of their deli meats made into a sandwich -

It is at the NW corner of Clark and Touhy - but remember being kosher it will close early Friday and be closed on Saturday and Jewish holidays and no cheese on the sandwich.

PQM has some amazing roast beef. (And Turkey too!) They don't always feature a sandwich but it is always available by the pound.
