    Sunday Morning.

Exercise is one option..... :) getting those "Honey-Do" chores is another :P
great Sunday morning thing to do.....but, when it's gonna be a sweltering sunny morning,
what's so wrong with a nice cup-of-Latte + The Sunday NY Times, while looking over the beautious
Humboldt Park Lagoon- designed close to a Century ago-by legendary landscape designer Jens Jensen!?!
    Nuttin-Honey!

Plenty of free parking- not metered (yet!) and a true Urban Oasis.

We ordered a simple breakfast- a pair of sunny-side up eggs- atop their home-fries, embellished w/ some garden-grown-basil along with an order of French Toast.

    and very simple menu-
soon to start serving alcohol...... (pending Liquor Commission Approval!)

There is no other place in Chicago- that offers such a remarkable view- and very well presented simple food.
Erica Seranno -the co-owner had spent 4 years of her life trying to get in here- and in the process got pregnant and gave birth to two twin daughters- and STILL- made this Restaurant- her dream- come true.
    No "heavy-fried-Puerto-Rican-Food-Truck-Food" here....there's plenty-0-that, around the Park.
No- Erica and her partner are more aware of the "new" Humboldt Park residents to offer them "that"....
so you will see very well created simple dishes- slightly acknowledging a Latin heritage (grilled Skirt Steak for example)
but Erica has bigger plans- and in a few years time-want's to up her SMOKE game- by offering a bit of Park-'Q!
Grilled Meats- were a thought Erica's had- and I only hope GWiv- can offer her some input (Gary- I did put in a plug for ya already-
the pumps been primed-as they say!)

So- before the crowds get too thick- the wait becomes like The Bongo Room on a Sunday- go here-and enjoy the food,
enjoy the "Buena Vista"- and maybe bring the pooch- too!
