My senior group wanted to try their buffet. Seniors on Wednesdays in October got half off. So the four of us went on the 21st. It was $9.34, which I discovered was overpriced. Yech!
They had different stations. The seafood station was only peel & eat tiny shrimp and a seafood salad. The carving station was roast beef and roasted turkey. They had fried chicken too. All three were bland and dry. I spat out the first two and nibbled a little on the chicken. Peeling the tiny shrimp was a pain. Most of the food was inedible.
I thought the chicken Marsala and the scalloped potatoes were decent. Speaking of potatoes, the mashed were horrible. I could almost drink them. The Mac & cheese tasted like mush & cheese. Drinks were self served. They had soups, salads, Chinese, and a taco station. I didn't try these.
I was the most critical of the group. Some of them liked the fried chicken and the Mac & cheese. Although their consensus was not to come back.
I had a piece of cherry pie for dessert, actually two. It was NSA (no sugar added). I was amazed. It was terrific. Secretly I hoped it was and I was not compensating. I did like it a lot.
We should have known this was going to be bad when we got there at 6. Looked like space for 400, but no more than 20 most of the time we were there.
