Dox Quality Greek

Were it not for Nick Kindelsperger's effusive review I wouldn't have ever ordered from this place, much less acknowledged its existence. But my gf and I found ourselves in want of a whole roasted chicken Friday--Dox it was.

Excellent chicken. Quality bird (Slagel, I believe), cooked perfectly--even the breast meat was juicy all the way through. Not a life-changing experience, mind you, but exactly what you want to eat.

We also had a red pepper and feta spread that was as good as such a dip could be--i.e., perfectly okay--but I appreciated the quality of feta used, as it wasn't just a thickener here. And the pita are really really great: small, soft, pliant.

It's really great to see someone put some thought into even the smaller touches. Will be back to try the octopus and lamb soon.

Liked the octopus but very sm portion. A few bites.

We have enjoyed visits there. The menu is inventive and the range of offerings allow for snacks or light lunches and full dinners; we like that the atmosphere is kid-friendly while the food is ambitious.
