Sol's on Sheridan, Uptown Korean

Sol's recently opened in the space formerly occupied by the late, lamented (at least by me) Inspiration Kitchen. It's a counter service Korean spot with Gimbap, Korean Fried Chicken, BBQ, soup, and BiBimBap. The last item is tasty enough that I have not explored more of the menu. Great balance of heat and flavor that makes for a satisfying meal. One minor quibble is that the food comes in a to-go container, even if you are eating at the restaurant.

We did take out from Sol's last night after some fine cocktails at Larry's. (A fine one-two punch in Uptown.) We hit a pretty good swath of the menu. Sorry, no photos as we were hungry.

Beef Bulgogi GimBap (seasoned rice and fresh ingredients rolled in seaweed)
Spicy Pork Bulgogi
Puffed Tofu BiBimBap
Korean Fried Chicken (honey soy and sweet & spicy garlic)

Everything was tasty, although I would do a meat instead of tofu on the BiBimBap. Glad we tried Sol's - they'll be in our rotation.
