here about a year and a half ago, Rachel Post purchased the pizza oven from Nomad Food Company and began operating Our House Pizza shortly thereafter . . .
on 3/25/17, I wrote:The other good news is that he's passed the torch (or the oven, so to speak) to Our House Pizza and its proprietor/chef/baker Rachel Post, who will be stationed at the Green City Market when it begins its outdoor season on May 6th.
Rachel has been doing pop-ups and other local events as Our House for a couple of years but before then, she was at Floriole Bakery and Cafe, including during the time when they were hosting twice-weekly pizza dinners there. So, there's obviously and exceptional pedigree there.
Rachel and her team are at the Green City Market in Lincoln Park on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and at the Lincoln Square Farmers Market on Thursdays. They also do private events, including company lunches, one of which we were fortunate enough to enjoy earlier this week. Fighting 40-degree temperatures and 20+ mph gusts, the Our House team threw down a lunch that (pun slightly intended) blew everyone away. The pictures really do speak for themselves . . .

This was our second year of doing this company-wide lunch with Our House Pizza and I think it's safe to say that it's going to become an annual tradition. There are only a few weeks left before they shut down the oven for the season, so I suggest getting to one of the market locations before it's too late for this year.
