LTH was listed in Chicago magazine. They have an online link to the story here: http://www.chicagomag.com/dining/morsels_story.htm

Also listed was http://www.grubhub.com which is a great site for getting delivery information. You put in your address and get a list of a bunch of restaurants that deliver to you with menus and coupons. Of course, I think its a wonderful website because I'm the owner, but don't let my bias stop you from checking it out. (There will also be online ordering available on the site in early August)

Your site is really cool, but sorely lacking in the delivery options in my neighborhood (Far Northwest side). The only two options you have listed in my area are places that no self respecting chowist would ever order from, yet there are many others in the area who deliver and should be listed. For example, in the pizza category alone, Lou Malnati's and Marie's both deliver and are not present. How do you decide who will be listed? :?

Well, we have two types of listings.. free and paid. the paid ones have menus, coupons, and a host of other things for the restaurants to get more calls. the free ones just take a phone call to get info, and you can email me through the website with restaurants you think should be on there. the menu and coupon listings take a lot of leg work ... you'd be surprised how hard it is to get restauranteurs to pay for advertising even though they get something like an additional 30-40 calls per month. consequently we are tyring to figure out how to hire a sales force to add restaurants more effectively. thats also surprisingly difficult to do correctly

I feel your pain when it comes to hiring a decent sales force. I have faced that problem in my business and have yet to come up with a good solution. I'll be emailing you some suggestions via your website for restaurants in my area to include.

In response to a post on http://www.gapersblock.com I added time searching to http://www.grubhub.com. So, if you are in lincoln park and its 3:00 AM you can click on the link to show restaurants now and you will see that Taqueria El Ranchito is indeed open. There are also some options for breakfast delivery. a new twist on breakfast in bed.

I hope this helps the chowists who choose to eat rather than sleep.
